Letter from the VP Recruitment

It’s wild how one decision can change everything!

Hi! My name is Risa Wynne, and I serve as the Vice President of Recruitment for Zeta Tau Alpha at Augusta University. I’m so excited you’re even thinking about recruitment, because that means you’re opening the door to something that could shape your college experience in the most meaningful way.

When I started college, I didn’t know exactly what I was looking for. I just knew I wanted something more; more connection, more growth, more people who would truly get me. What I found in ZTA was so much deeper than I ever expected. I found confidence, purpose, and the kind of sisterhood that doesn’t fade after a semester. These women didn’t just welcome me and they challenged me, supported me, and helped me become the version of myself I’m proud of today.

As you consider going through recruitment, know this: it’s okay to be nervous. It’s okay to have questions. But you don’t have to have it all figured out. You just have to be open to conversations, to new friendships, to unexpected moments that might just lead you home.

My hope for you is that you find the people who make you feel celebrated exactly as you are. That might be in ZTA, or it might be somewhere else and that’s okay. What matters is that you find your place.
